Swarm isn't working for my phone/device. Why?
I'm not sure. Contact me through the "Contact Developer" button in the Play Store and I'll be more than happy to help out.
What does "Unable to resolve magnet" mean?
If Swarm can't find a torrent associated with a magnet link, the "Unable to resolve magnet" error will show.
What phones and devices does Swarm work with?
Swarm should work with just about any Android® device out there that's running anything from version 1.6(Cupcake) all the way to 4(Ice Cream Sandwich) and beyond. It runs on tablets, phones, TVs, etc.
Do downloads continue when my phone goes to sleep?
By default when your phone goes to sleep, Android turns off wifi connections to save power. In Swarm's background downloading mode (default), the app will respect sleep and not download to save battery. If you want Swarm to continue downloading, you can set the setting named "Prevent Sleeping" which will keep the phone from sleeping (but allow the screen to dim,) which leaves Wifi/3G/Edge on. The "Prevent Wifi Sleeping" option will attempt to lock wifi, but if the phone goes to sleep, it will still release the wifi connection and wait until the phone wakes up to download again.
Does Swarm work with private trackers?
The short answer: Some. Trackers that do not have specific allow lists for Torrent clients, such as Demonoid, will work. For sites that only allow specific clients, you may be able to ask for an exception to be added for Swarm. Swarm's id is: -SW0005-
What does "Errored: No Trackers" mean?
It means that none of the trackers listed in the torrent are responding. If you had previously downloaded some of the data from the torrent, try stopping and restarting the torrent to attempt to contact the tracker. If no data was downloaded previously, this can also mean that the client is being blocked by the tracker. Some private trackers block unknown clients, you can try asking the tracker admins to allow swarm, results of you inquires may vary.
What does "Errored: Could not create storage" mean?
"Errored: Could not create storage" means that Swarm can't write files. Make sure you have enough room on your SD card to download the torrent.
