Swarm 1.3.5 Released
by Matt
I released Swarm 1.3.5 this week which brings the following stuff:
- Support for downloading to USB attached devices (logitech revue, other GoogleTvs)
- Support for Tor (You have to install Orbot first)
- DHT on/off toggles (default in settings and adjustable by torrent)
- ETA (rough estimates)
- Bug fixes, file allocation and piece checking improvements.
As always, comment here or use the email developer button in the market to let me know if you have any issues.
Hi. What is the default port used by Swarm? Downloading is not starting coz I am not able to open the proper port on my router.
Swarm starts at 49160 and finds whatever port is open. That is just a listening port though. Peers are connected on whichever port they broadcast to the tracker and that varies wildly based on the client and/or user settings on the client.
“Support for downloading to USB attached devices”
that’s great!
i had some issues updating yesterday but i’ll be trying the new feature asap!

HELLO 2 QUESTIONS
1 WHAT FORMAT SHOULD THE USB DRIVE CONNECTED TO GOOGLE TV BE FAT32 OR NTFS
2 THIS TORRENT ONLY DOWNLOADS OR DOES IT HELP IN UPLOADING TOO LIKE ON THE PC WHEN YOU ARE DOWNLOADING A FILE AT THE SAME TIME THERE IS THIS PROCESS OF UPLOADING BECAUSE ITS SHARING FILES I AM A MEMBER OF A FORUM THAT EXCHANGES FILES BY WAY OF TORRENTS THEY REQUIRE THAT YOU ALLOW SEEDING FOR ALONG TIME SO THAT I HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH RATIO OF WHAT I DOWNLOAD AND UPLOAD
APPRECIATE YOUR REPLY THANKS
I bought it yesterday and had to refund as the client does not show an option to select my USB drive for downloading the files..Is there a prerequisite or a setup guide for me to use my USB storage to download?
The option is in the menu under View Settings>Download Folder. From there you can choose any mounted usb folder under /mnt/
